The person behind Lunara
Letting More of Me into Lunara
Making room for software, learning, nature, ordinary life, and the person behind the printables.

I’ve shared a lot of what I make through Lunara. I’d like to share more of the person making it, too. I work in software, make learning resources, study psychology, love animals and anime, and tend to follow a question much further than I originally meant to.
Those interests already turn up in the things I build. The website gives me somewhere to work on software. Curriculum gives me questions about how to explain an idea, what someone needs to try it, and how we can talk about what happened. Home and nature give me plenty more things to wonder about.
When I think about what connects all of this, I keep coming back to how people get through life. I want that life to have room for learning, care, imagination, nature, beauty, comfort, ease, and things that make us laugh. That feels close to what I want Lunara to hold.
I’ve also been thinking about who the learning resources could be for. Some of the questions I explore with kids—how attention works, why people remember things differently, how we decide what to believe—interest adults as well. I’m exploring what a useful version for adults might look like, especially for people who are curious but short on time or confidence. Those ideas are still taking shape.
Field Notes gives me somewhere to write about that process in smaller pieces. I can talk about an instruction I’m revising, a website decision, something I’m trying to understand, or the practical business of finding time to make any of it. I’d like the site to have room for ordinary interests and funny observations as well as finished resources.
The longer technical account of building this website already has a place here. Now I’m adding the smaller notes around it, including the bits I’m still working out.
